Travis County Judge Andy Brown has issued a local disaster declaration due to widespread flooding, excessive rainfall, and severe storm impacts. This declaration enables enhanced coordination of the following:

  • Debris removal and roadway clearance
  • Search and rescue operations
  • Displaced resident services
  • Expanded public information operations
  • Coordination with state and federal emergency resources

Under the direction of Judge Brown, several Travis County departments and first responder agencies are actively responding to assist multiple communities, including Big Sandy Creek, Cow Creek, and the surrounding areas.
